i work for a large company (electical) and we always try and be like Tesco, thats who we try and be like and compare ourselves to.. their customer service is fantastic.
from having suggestion boxes on the shop floor at the tills, free taxi phones in store
always asking if you want your bags packed etc.
write them a letter and they will send you information on what they do. i had a similar thing when i was at college
